Thinking Better: from Pareidolia to Probability

Every hospital runs an annual conference to examine mistakes, identify errors in judgment, and prevent future mistakes. What if we applied this analytic criticism to our everyday errors in judgment?

A cognitive bias is a systematic pattern of illogical thinking. The "sunk cost fallacy" is the phenomenon at work when one thinks, "I already read part of this book, so even though another similar book is much better, I might as well finish this one."
